The day was jam packed with practical tips on how to overcome imposter syndrome, step into leadership and move beyond your to-do list to focus on the work that has the greatest impact. Stand tall and start the day with a confidence boost. In this quick energising session, participants explored the impact of body language and put power posing into practice to help feel more confident and prepared.

You don’t need to feel completely confident before taking your next career step. In this session, participants explored how everyday actions, from recognising achievements to asking for feedback and trying something new, can help build confidence and support career progression.

Busy, capable and invisible (and what to do about it)

You’re working hard, you’re reliable, and you’re often the person others turn to for help. But if you feel like your career isn’t moving forward in the way you hoped, this session explored what might be getting in the way. Louise Thompson, leadership coach and former NHS Comms Director, shared practical ways to increase visibility, challenge unhelpful patterns and show up differently in complex organisations.

Just say no: Setting boundaries with confidence

Why can saying no feel so difficult, even when you know you need to? This session explored practical ways to set boundaries clearly and confidently, navigate uncomfortable conversations and protect your time without overexplaining. Participants left with a simple framework they could apply straight away.
