Integrated care systems explained

Established during a global pandemic, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) represent a substantial shift in national policy thinking on the NHS and the wider health and care system. The 2022 Health and Care Act signalled the end of Clinical Commissioning Groups and enabled the establishment of Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) as statutory organisations.

Please note, this workshop can be booked for teams and organisations only.

The workshop will cover:

  • The policy and strategic context to the changes – key principles and objectives driving the move towards collaboration and integrated working and what it means in practice

  • Navigating the complexity of ICSs and ICBs and their relationships with collaboratives between providers and in local places
  • What the changes mean for commissioning in the NHS and for providers
  • Influencing and engaging in a new, complex and developing environment
