Introduction to quality improvement workshop overview

This workshop provides an introduction to key strategies and techniques used in Quality Improvement.  During this interactive session participants will gain an understanding of the Model for Improvement, learn the key features of aims statements.  

The session will also cover how to identify possible process and system measures as well as plan some small-scale tests of change. This workshop is interactive and requires a delivery platform that can facilitate smaller group discussions. Please note, this workshop can only be booked for teams and organisations.

Content

By the end of this session delegates will have gained a good understanding of the key tools and techniques that can be used to plan and implement quality improvement. They will understand the relevance of these to their service and have experience applying techniques to a real situation within their organisation.

The session will cover:

  • The model for improvement
  • Identifying problems, nags and niggles to solve
  • Creating an aim statement
  • Identifying measures
  • Implementing PDSA cycles and small-scale tests of change
